Julian Walker grew up learning to appreciate high-quality food and cutting-edge technology. He’s a first-hand witness to understanding how both can ultimately lead to a better quality of life. He started Queen City Farms because he believes indoor farming can provide greater access to healthy food options to underserved communities and can become a major step to solve Charlotte’s food security issues.
Before Queen City Farms, Julian found his way into agriculture building his own vertical farming systems, selling microgreens to local restaurants. He was also self-employed as a market research consultant, working on a number of projects for Fortune 500 companies. He graduated from UNC Charlotte with dual degrees in Marketing and Applied History.
